Homecoming & Family Weekend will be here before you know it! Here is some more info to help ensure a great weekend for you and your Wildcat.  

Plan Ahead 

Talk with your student about their class/work schedule for the weekend and make sure you will have time to spend together.

Tell us you’re coming! Register for Homecoming & Family Weekend (after 8/21 @ 3 pm). Bring the whole family! 

Review event schedule and reserve/purchase tickets, as necessary. 

Reserve a hotel room, if needed. 

Planning to eat out? Make a dinner reservation ASAP. 

Pack Wisely 

Casual attire is appropriate for all JWU HFW events. Bring comfortable shoes or sneakers for exploring campus and all activities offered. 

Check the Providence weather forecast before you travel and know it can quickly change. Dress in layers, bring a jacket, and be prepared with a raincoat or umbrella. 

Transportation 

Families may utilize Wildcat Wheels during Homecoming & Family Weekend. Hang onto your HFW registration confirmation to show the drivers, when asked.

Note: Children under the age of 5 are not permitted on JWU buses. 

Pets 

JWU is pet friendly! Leashed or caged pets are welcome at all Homecoming & Family Weekend outdoor activities. Except for resident students’ pets that have received prior Residential Life approval, pets are not allowed inside any JWU facilities.

Say Cheese! 

We know you’ll be taking lots of photos during Homecoming & Family Weekend, and we will be too! 

When posting your photos on social media, use the hashtag #wildcatfamilies.
